Our founder lives here. So when we say we know this neighborhood, we mean it. Best food scene in the city — don't argue with us on that. Farmer's market, incredible restaurants, and a real community feel. Gentrified, yes, but still full of families, kids, and people who care about their block.
The moves here range from classic brownstone walk-ups to modern elevator buildings along Fulton and DeKalb. We know the parking, the building rules, and the tight spots. We've been moving people into and out of this neighborhood for over a decade — and we take extra pride in it because this is our home turf.
Moving is one of the most pivotal — and dreaded — moments in someone's life. We have an opportunity to intervene and make that process positive and powerful.
The scope of what we do goes way beyond the truck: carpentry, art handling, emotional support, problem-solving. We get to complete our mission every single day. Show up, meet someone new, deal with a unique set of circumstances, and find a way through.
We've repotted someone's entire plant collection and rebuilt furniture at the drop-off. We've cut table legs off with a sawzall and reattached them with hardware store brackets. That's the job. And we love it.
