Moving to Gowanus? Great Choice.
Gowanus has that neighborhood-y feel — great community culture, a little more industrial than Park Slope but with the same warmth. You gotta be mindful of the water and the floods (it's real), but on a good day, you might spot dolphins in the canal. Seriously. We love moving people into this neighborhood.
The housing here is a mix of converted lofts, row houses, and newer apartments. The streets have character — and sometimes that character includes tight loading zones and creative parking situations. We've navigated all of it for over a decade and we know the neighborhood inside and out.
Moving can be the worst day of someone's life if it's not handled right. We take that seriously. When we show up, we're inheriting your situation and we treat it with the respect it deserves.
We don't just move furniture — we move lives. We've dug soil out of giant planters, bagged it, transported it, and repotted plants at the new place.
